Seoul, June 30 (World Korean News)= Celebrating the 72nd Korean War, the "Peace and Unity MMC Patriotic Concert" was held at the Flower Mound Korean Church in Texas on June 25.
Hosted by the Music Ministry Conservation (MMC, President Christy Lee), and sponsored by the Fort Worth Korean Association (President Kim Baek-hyun), the Mid-south Korean American Associations (President, Myong Chong), and the Dallas Korean Association (President, Seoung Ju Ryou), the concert was a big success.
Violinist Yohan Jung and pianist Ye-na Kim, both defected from North Korea, participated in the concert, which began at 7 p.m. and received big applause.
Tim Parker, Texas House Member, also participated in the event. Myong Chong introduced that Rep. Tim Parker is running for the state Senate. Tim Parker said he will actively support the Korean American community and the unification of the Korean Peninsula.
The concert was conducted by Eldred Marshall, and professional performers Tom Keunsup Song, Rachel Moon, Heather Hawk, Ryan McDonald, Grace Baek, Sunny Choi, Jaden Jang, and SEUM string quartet participated.
